McCartneys is celebrating six of its members being honoured for their work as auctioneers.
John Uffold, Jenny Layton, Chris Jones, Glyn Owens, Clive Roads and Gareth Wall have all been made Fellows of the Livestock Auctioneers Association after succeeding in the selection process.
“It’s an honour for us individually and great news for McCartneys,” said chairman John Uffold. “It shows we have all achieved a recognised standard of professionalism, which hopefully can be seen through our work.
“Jenny is one of the very few women to be given a fellowship, making her one of the top female auctioneers in the country.”
To be made fellows the auctioneers had to meet the criteria set and be approved by a panel from the Livestock Auctioneers Association.
Also honoured with a fellowship was McCartneys consultant Richard Gwilliam, while auctioneer Michael Thomas was made an associate of the association.
